Renormalization group analysis of weakly nonlinear oscillators with time delay

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2020
The renormalization group (RG) method is one of the asymptotic methods which are used to obtain approximate solutions of differential equations. In this article, weakly nonlinear oscillators with time delay are considered, and asymptotic solutions of ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Relative controllability of multiagent systems with pairwise different delays in states

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2022
In this manuscript, relative controllability of leader–follower multiagent systems with pairwise different delays in states and fixed interaction topology is considered. The interaction topology of the group of agents is modeled by a directed graph.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Lie group classification of first-order delay ordinary differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical, 2018
A group classification of first-order delay ordinary differential equation (DODE) accompanied by an equation for delay parameter (delay relation) is presented. A subset of such systems (delay ordinary differential systems or DODSs) which consists of linear DODEs and solution independent delay relations have infinite-dimensional symmetry algebras, as do

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Training on an Appetitive Trace-Conditioning Task Increases Adult Hippocampal Neurogenesis and the Expression of Arc, Erk and CREB Proteins in the Dorsal Hippocampus

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular Neuroscience, 2020
Adult hippocampal neurogenesis (AHN) plays an essential role in hippocampal-dependent memory consolidation. Increased neurogenesis enhances learning, whereas its ablation causes memory impairment.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Balanced Linear-Phase Bandpass Filter Equalized with Negative Group Delay Circuit [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering
A novel balanced linear-phase bandpass filter is proposed to achieve differential-mode linear-phase filtering and common-mode suppression characteristics.
