Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

On Certain Analogues of Noor Integral Operators Associated with Fractional Integrals

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces
In this paper, we employ a q-Noor integral operator to perform a q-analogue of certain fractional integral operator defined on an open unit disc. Then, we make use of the Hadamard convolution product to discuss several related results.

Asymptotic and Spectral Analysis of a Model of the Piezoelectric Energy Harvester with the Timoshenko Beam as a Substructure

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2018
Mathematical analysis of the well known model of a piezoelectric energy harvester is presented. The harvester is designed as a cantilever Timoshenko beam with piezoelectric layers attached to its top and bottom faces.

Addendum to "Differential-Boundary Operators" [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1973
The proof of a lemma and the statement of another were omitted from an earlier paper. This corrects that omission.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

The Maximal Regularity of Nonlinear Second-Order Hyperbolic Boundary Differential Equations

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, we show the maximal regularity of nonlinear second-order hyperbolic boundary differential equations. We aim to show if the given second-order partial differential operator satisfies the specific ellipticity condition; additionally, if ...

On non-coercive mixed problems for parameter-dependent elliptic operators

open access: yes, 2019
We consider a (generally, non-coercive) mixed boundary value problem in a bounded domain $D$ of ${\mathbb R}^n$ for a second order parameter-dependent elliptic differential operator $A (x,\partial, \lambda)$ with complex-valued essentially bounded ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
