On the isospectral beams

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2005
The free undamped infinitesimal transverse vibrations of a thin straight beam are modelled by a forth-order differential equation. This paper investigates the families of fourth-order systems which have one spectrum in common, and correspond to four ...

Local spectral radius formulas for a class of unbounded operators on Banach spaces

open access: yes, 2011
We exhibit a general class of unbounded operators in Banach spaces which can be shown to have the single-valued extension property, and for which the local spectrum at suitable points can be determined. We show that a local spectral radius formula holds,

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Almost Differentially Nondegenerate Nijenhuis Operators

open access: yesRussian Journal of Mathematical Physics, 2022
The paper is devoted to the study of Nijenhuis operators of arbitrary dimension $n$ in a neighborhood of a point at which the first $n-1$ coefficients of the characteristic polynomial are functionally independent, and the last coefficient (the determinant of the operator) is an arbitrary function.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Differential Subordination Defined by New Generalised Derivative Operator for Analytic Functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2010
A new generalised derivative operator μλ1,λ2n,m is introduced. This operator generalised many well-known operators studied earlier by many authors. Using the technique of differential subordination, we will study some of the properties of differential ...
