Effect of Additives on Mineral Trioxide Aggregate Setting Reaction Product Formation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Introduction Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) sets via hydration of calcium silicates to yield calcium silicate hydrates and calcium hydroxide (Ca[OH]2). However, a drawback of MTA is its long setting time.

Electrochemical Abuse‐Driven Thermal Runaway in Lithium‐Ion Batteries: Evolution From Beginning‐of‐Life to End‐of‐Life

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrochemical abuse transforms thermal runaway behavior in lithium‐ion batteries. Through systematic decoupling of degradation mechanisms, this study reveals that lithium plating lowers the onset temperature by 10 °C, electrolyte consumption delays high‐temperature reactions, and capacity fade reduces total heat generation. These mechanistic insights

PHARMACEUTICAL AMORPHOUS ORGANIC MATERIALS CHARACTERIZATION BY USING THE DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY AND DYNAMIC MECHANICAL ANALYSIS [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2011
This research has been carried out in order to demonstrate the use of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) in detecting and measuring α- and β-relaxation processes in amorphous pharmaceutical systems. DSC has been employed to study amorphous samples

Robust and Reversible Thermofluorescence in Solvent‐Free Thermoplastic Polyurethane Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thermofluorescent polymer composites with high‐contrast optical outputs are prepared by solvent‐free blending of indenoquinacridone dye into a thermoplastic polyurethane matrix. The temperature‐dependent fluorescence originates from aggregation–dissociation of the dye molecules, regulated by competing hydrogen bonds from the polymer matrix.

ASSAY OF ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID IN DRUG PRODUCTS BY DIFFERENTIAL SCANNING CALORIMETRY

open access: yesРазработка и регистрация лекарственных средств, 2019
Five dosage forms from various manufacturers containing acetyl salicylic acid was investigated with the DSC method. It was found that the amount of acetylsalicylic acid in these preparations is equal to 80-85 wt.%, which corresponds to the regulatory ...

Determination of Specific Heat of Polyester Composite with Graphene and Graphite by Differential Scanning Calorimetry [PDF]

open access: yesTribology in Industry, 2014
Some polymers show low thermal properties which can be improved by adding various types of materials. Using nanoparticles, an enhancement of thermal properties can be obtained, even for small contents of additives. The evaluation of thermal properties of
