The Differential Pressure Signal De-noised by Domain Transform Combined with Wavelet Threshold
In the process of estimating the thrust of an aircraft engine, there is a big problem that the differential pressure signal has large fluctuation. To deal with this problem, we develop an effective and robust adaptive de-noising algorithm based on domain

State differentiation by transient truncation in coupled threshold dynamics [PDF]
Dynamics with a threshold input--output relation commonly exist in gene, signal-transduction, and neural networks. Coupled dynamical systems of such threshold elements are investigated, in an effort to find differentiation of elements induced by the interaction.

ABSTRACT Background An internal tandem duplication in the gene encoding Fms‐like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3‐ITD) is associated with high relapse risk and poor prognosis in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and plays a crucial role in treatment decisions. Measurable residual disease (MRD) analysis of FLT3‐ITD during and after treatment has shown prognostic ...

Segmentation is one of the important steps for image analysis. Multilevel thresholding image segmentation was more popular in image segmentation. Otsu and Kapur based methods are most popular for multilevel threshold image segmentation.

Structured Differential Learning for Automatic Threshold Setting
We introduce a technique that can automatically tune the parameters of a rule-based computer vision system comprised of thresholds, combinational logic, and time constants. This lets us retain the flexibility and perspicacity of a conventionally structured system while allowing us to perform approximate gradient descent using labeled data.

ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) involvement in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is assessed by cell counting and cytomorphology from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and is used for treatment stratification worldwide. The ratio of “CNS2” patients in clinical trials ranges from 3% to 40%, with unclear prognostic significance ...

WPT-FOD Method Based on Channel Differential Response and Dynamic Threshold
[Objective] As wireless power transfer (WPT) technology is increasingly deployed in scenarios such as electric vehicles, metallic foreign objects in the WPT area may cause local overheating and energy loss.

Locally Differentially Private Thresholding Bandits
This work investigates the impact of ensuring local differential privacy in the thresholding bandit problem. We consider both the fixed budget and fixed confidence settings. We propose methods that utilize private responses, obtained through a Bernoulli-based differentially private mechanism, to identify arms with expected rewards exceeding a ...

ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...
