Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

Brownian motion and exposed solutions of differential inclusions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We present a research program designed by A. Bressan and some partial results related to it. First, we construct a probability measure supported on the space of solutions to a planar differential inclusion, where the right-hand side is a Lipschitz ...

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.

The first-order differential isomorphisms of canonical hyperbolic equations

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений. Поволжский регион: Физико-математические науки
Background. To determine unknown solutions of canonical hyperbolic differential equations for functions of two variables, it seemed relevant to establish the connection of the first-order differential isomorphisms of these equations with Laplace ...

Nutrient/TOR signaling controls adipose mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM) to regulate organismal growth in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

CALCULATION SCHEMES EFFICIENCY FOR INTEGRATION OF ORDINARY DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS BASED ON THE DIFFERENTIAL-TAYLOR TRANSFORMATION

open access: yesSučasnì Informacìjnì Tehnologìï u Sferì Bezpeki ta Oboroni, 2014
The theoretical evaluation of the effectiveness of explicit computational schemes for numerical solution of the Cauchy problem for ordinary differential equations are given, which are based on differential-taylor transformations in comparison with the ...

A criterion for oscillations in the solutions of the polytropic Lane-Emden equations

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2016
We have previously formulated a simple criterion for deducing the intervals of oscillations in the solutions of second-order linear homogeneous differential equations.

Peripheral lysosomes recruit PLEKHG3 to focal adhesions and restrain protrusion dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proximity‐dependent labeling at the LAMTOR complex revealed the Rho GEF PLEKHG3 as a lysosome‐proximal protein directing the study toward the influence of lysosome positioning on actin dynamics and cell motility. We show that PLEKHG3 colocalizes with lysosomes at focal adhesion sites and observe that forced peripheral dispersion of lysosomes hinders ...

Bäcklund transformations for two new integrable partial differential equations

open access: yes, 2002
We give two new completely integrable sixth-order partial differential equations, together with their Lax pairs and Darboux transformations. From these last we are able to derive the corresponding Bäcklund transformations.

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...
