DIFFRACTIVE PHENOMENA [PDF]

open access: yesLepton-Photon 01, 2002
The most recent theoretical and experimental results in the field of diffractive scattering are reviewed. A parallel between the two current theoretical approaches to diffraction, the DIS picture in the Breit frame and the dipole picture in the target frame, is given, accompanied by a description of the models to which the data are compared.

Neutron diffraction [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series A. Mathematical and Physical Sciences, 1949
The problem of neutron diffraction by crystals is treated by analogy with X-ray diffraction, consideration being given to the perfect crystal, the mosaic crystal and the powdered block. The first part of the paper deals with a comparison between X-ray and neutron diffraction and it is shown that quantitatively the two are similar, apart ...

Cholesteryl esters of saturated fatty acids: cosolubility and fractionation of binary mixtures

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1987
Factors affecting the solid state miscibility of saturated chain cholesteryl esters were determined from electron diffraction and differential scanning calorimetric measurements on a homologous series which included two types of crystal packing. Electron

Chemical, isotopic and gas composition of the first-year sea ice in 2013-2015 from the data of cores taken at the BARNEO drifting stations

open access: yesЛëд и снег, 2019
As a result of the work performed at the BARNEO drifting stations (2013-2015 in the polar region of the Arctic ocean), a comprehensive testing was carried out and new data were obtained on the structure of one-year sea ice, its salinity, the distribution

A Model-Based RF Hand Motion Detection System for Shadowing Scenarios

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
With the explosive growth of mobile computing, new modes of human-computer interaction (HCI) are emerging and becoming feasible. Compared to vision-based systems that require lighting, radio frequency (RF)-based hand motion detection systems are becoming

Crystal Structure of Fosfomycin Tromethamine, (C4H12NO3)(C3H6O4P), from Synchrotron Powder Diffraction Data and Density Functional Theory

open access: yesCrystals, 2019
The crystal structure of fosfomycin tromethamine has been solved and refined using synchrotron X-ray powder diffraction data, and optimized using density functional techniques.

Encoding Mie, plasmonic, and diffractive structural colors in the same pixel

open access: yesNanophotonics, 2023
We present a 1D reflective multi-level structural color design that incorporates Mie, plasmonic, and diffractive mechanisms in the same pixel. Comprised of a metallodielectric grating made of TiOx nanowires sandwiched between Ag thin film and Ag ...

The image edge model

open access: yesActa Acustica, 2021
Noise from traffic, industry and neighborhood is a prominent feature in urban environments. In these environments, sound reaches receiver points through reflections and diffractions.

Experimental limits of ghost diffraction: Popper’s thought experiment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Quantum ghost diffraction harnesses quantum correlations to record diffraction or interference features using photons that have never interacted with the diffractive element. By designing an optical system in which the diffraction pattern can be produced
