Optical transmission gratings with quasi-sinusoidal surface-relief profiles were inscribed in IOG and Pyrex glasses and in Bi12GeO20, Er: LiNbO3, and Er: Fe: LiNbO3 crystals by microbeams of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen ions at ion energies of 5, 6, and ...

Grating-coupled surface plasmons at microwave frequencies
This work presents a detailed investigation of electromagnetic coupling to the surface plasmon-polariton (SPP) at microwave frequencies. We have recorded the wavelength-dependent reflectivity from a metallic sinusoidal diffraction grating of pitch 15 mm.

Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.

Grating matrix method to describe a volume transmission diffraction grating
In this work we present a grating matrix method to describe the properties of volume transmission diffraction gratings. The grating matrix will be introduced by using Kogelnik's coupled wave theory so that the amplitudes of the diffracted and transmitted

A BCP‐derived buried‐interface strategy establishes Na‐BCS as a chemically bonded molecular bridge. By combining sulfonate anchoring to SnO2 with preserved BCP–Pb2+ coordination, Na‐BCS simultaneously passivates oxide‐ and perovskite‐side defects, suppresses non‐radiative recombination, and delivers a surface recombination velocity of 8.6 cm s−1, a ...

Junction Physics and Architectural Paradigms in Optoelectronic Semiconductor Fibers
Optoelectronic fibers are emerging as a key platform for distributed sensing, energy harvesting, and optical communication in deformable systems. Their performance is fundamentally governed by junction formation under confined, dynamic processing conditions.

Layer‐Dependent Phonon Polaritons in hBN Resolved by Photo‐Induced Force Spectroscopy
Layer‐dependent phonon polariton resonances in hexagonal boron nitride are systematically investigated using photo‐induced force microscopy. The in‐plane resonance exhibits a blueshift, while the out‐of‐plane resonance shows a redshift with increasing thickness. These results establish layer number as a key parameter for tuning polaritonic responses in

Study on the Reaction Mechanism of RuOx and Its Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Activity
In situ Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations reveal that, prior to the onset of HER, the surface of RuOx undergoes reversible reduction and structural reconstruction. The resulting Ru(II)O/Ru(IV)O2 configuration is identified as the true catalytically active species.
