This study compares the mechanical properties of Inconel 718 with two newly developed compositionally complex alloys (CCAs). Inco‐like‐H alloy demonstrates significantly improved wear resistance, surface finish, and hardness, notably at high temperatures. This CCA requires no heat treatment and is well suited for additive manufacturing. Its performance

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the intrinsic relationships and applicability of Hill48 yield criterion. The applicability and error evaluation conditions for Hill48 are established based on specific experimental data. A parameter calibration strategy for N‐value based on error minimization is proposed, and the predictive accuracy is ...

This study explores the ablation efficiency and surface quality of laser‐treated stainless steel alloys (AISI 304, AISI 420, and AISI 316Ti) using an ultrashort pulsed laser and varying burst parameters (MHz, GHz, and Bi‐burst). Both ablation rates and surface quality parameters are determined, including isotropy surface roughness values, highlighting ...

Micromechanical Insights into Sinter‐Based Additively Manufactured NiTi with Nb as a Sintering Aid
This study investigates the microstructural and micromechanical behavior of NiTiNb made through filament‐based materials extrusion via chemically correlated nanoindentation. B19' remnants from the original powder lead to Nb gradients within NiTiNb grains due to the short sintering times required in liquid‐phase sintering.

Microcellular Poly (Ethylene‐Co‐Vinyl Acetate)/Lignin Nanocomposites for Soft Ferroelectrets
Lignin valorization for advanced porous polymer nanocomposites development and an upscaling route for continuous manufacturing of soft ferroelectrets for energy harvesting are studied. This work examines the role of lignin and carbon nanotubes (CNT) in modifying the mechanical, dielectric, and ferroelectret properties of poly (ethylene‐co‐vinyl acetate)

The Diffusion of Microfinance [PDF]
Introduction How do the network positions of the first individuals in a society to receive information about a new product affect its eventual diffusion? To answer this question, we develop a model of information diffusion through a social network that discriminates between information passing (individuals must be aware of the ...

Light diffusing mechanism of new diffusion phenomena for diffusers with different diffusing patterns
Optical Materials, 2021Abstract In this study, different diffusion agents have been employed for preparing optical diffusers. Compared with their properties, significant differences exist in UV-shielding, near infrared shielding, dispersion, light scattering, and etc. The characterization comparison can be found in the testing.

The usual explanation for why the producers of a given product use different technologies involves "vintage-capital": A firm understands the frontier technology, but can still prefer an older, less efficient technology in which it has made specific physical and human capital investments. This paper develops an alternative.
