Magnetic resonance imaging of subcutaneous diffuse neurofibroma.

open access: yesThe British Journal of Radiology, 1997
A 31-year-old woman presented with increasing pain and tenderness of a long-standing soft tissue mass on her back. MRI showed a network of interconnecting tubular areas, which were T1 isointense and T2 hyperintense relative to skeletal muscle, and displayed marked Gd-DTPA enhancement. The lesion was situated within the subcutaneous fat.

Remarkable Recovery After Delayed High‐Dose Methylprednisolone in a Rare Case of Penetrating Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traumatic spinal cord injury (TSCI) caused by sharp‐force penetration is exceptionally rare, and the use of high‐dose methylprednisolone (MP) remains highly controversial, especially beyond the conventional 8‐h treatment window. This case report describes a 30‐year‐old male with acute incomplete TSCI following a knife stab wound to the right ...

Efficient quantum of mechanical simulation of diffusion-weighted MRI

open access: yesMedicine in Novel Technology and Devices
Modern magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) experiments require simultaneous spin and spatial dynamics treatment. This paper aims to demonstrate the possibility of simulating a large spin system for diffusion-weighted MRI experiments.

Diffusion-kurtosis magnetic resonance imaging of the brain in the differential diagnostics of metastases of tumors of various primary localization [PDF]

open access: yesКлиническая практика
Background: Metastatic brain lesions lead to the most unfavorable prognosis for the course of an oncological disease. Most often, brain metastases arise from primary tumors such as lung cancer, breast cancer, and melanoma.

Diffusion magnetic resonance imaging of chest tumors [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Imaging, 2012
This review provides an overview of the current status of the published data on diffusion magnetic resonance (MR) imaging of chest tumors. Diffusion MR imaging is a non-invasive imaging technique that measures the differences in water mobility in different tissue microstructures and quantifies them based on the apparent diffusion coefficient. Diffusion

CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

Fast Fiber Orientation Estimation in Diffusion MRI from kq-Space Sampling and Anatomical Priors

open access: yes, 2018
High spatio-angular resolution diffusion MRI (dMRI) has been shown to provide accurate identification of complex fiber configurations, albeit at the cost of long acquisition times.

Characteristics and Outcomes of Male Participants in a Multicenter Longitudinal Australian Study Cohort

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective The aim of this study was to determine the differences in demographic, serologic, and clinical characteristics between male and female patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) in an Australian cohort. Methods This was a retrospective observational study using data from the Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study.

MOTILITY: Small bowel motility quantified by cine MRI as a predictor of longer term response in patients with Crohn’s disease commencing biological therapy

open access: yesEfficacy and Mechanism Evaluation
Background Small bowel Crohn’s disease is increasingly treated with biological therapies. Although many patients do not achieve response or remission, this is unpredictable.
