Promoted Disappearance of CO2 Hydrate Self-Preservation Effect by Surfactant SDS
The capture, storage and utilization of CO2 through hydrate-related technology is a promising approach to addressing the global warming issue. Dissociation is required after the transportation of CO2 gas in the form of a self-preserving hydrate. In order

Journal diffusion factors – a measure of diffusion? [PDF]
This paper shows that the measure of diffusion introduced by Ian Rowlands called the journal diffusion factor (JDF) is highly negatively correlated with the number of citations, leading highly cited journals to get a low JDF, whereas less cited journals get a high JDF.

Drying kinetics and mathematical modelling of Arundo donax L. canes, a potential renewable fuel
Arundo donax L. is an energy crop with the potential use as a renewable fuel. This study focused on the drying process of the canes in field and laboratory conditions to determine the effect of the harvest conditioning on the kinetics parameters of whole

Non-linear manifold learning enables high-dimensional data analysis, but requires out-of-sample-extension methods to process new data points. In this paper, we propose a manifold learning algorithm based on deep learning to create an encoder, which maps a high-dimensional dataset and its low-dimensional embedding, and a decoder, which takes the ...

Reaction-diffusion processes with nonlinear diffusion [PDF]
We study reaction-diffusion processes with concentration-dependent diffusivity. First, we determine the decay of the concentration in the single-species and two-species diffusion-controlled annihilation processes. We then consider two natural inhomogeneous realizations.

On the Equation of Diffusion [PDF]
Under the title "The Analytical Theory of Probability," A. Kolmogoroff [1] published a few years ago a mathematically elegant account of what might be called the general theory of diffusion. As the main result of his analysis, he sets up two differential equations for transition probabilities (see below).

Multiscale water diffusivity prediction of plain woven composites considering void defects
To reveal the effects of void defects on the diffusivities of plain woven composites, a multiscale analysis framework considering the microscale and mesoscale voids is developed in this study.
