Variable zoom digital in-line holographic microscopy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We report on a novel layout providing variable zoom in digital in-line holographic microscopy (VZ-DIHM). The implementation is in virtue of an electrically tunable lens (ETL) which enables to slightly shift the illumination source axial position without mechanical movement of any system component.

3D exploration of light scattering from live cells in the presence of gold nanomarkers using holographic microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes3D Research 2, 1 (2011) 1, 2011
In this paper, we explore the 3D structure of light scattering from dark-field illuminated live 3T3 cells in the presence of 40 nm gold nanomarkers. For this purpose, we use a high resolution holographic microscope combining the off-axis heterodyne geometry and the phase-shifting acquisition of the digital holograms.

Comparative analysis of digital holographic microscopy and digital lensless holographic microscopy for quantitative phase imaging

open access: yesOptics Continuum
This study provides a detailed comparison of two widely used quantitative phase imaging (QPI) techniques: single-shot off-axis digital holographic microscopy (DHM) and digital lensless holographic microscopy (DLHM). The primary aim is to evaluate and contrast critical aspects of their imaging performance, including spatial phase sensitivity, phase ...
