High resolution digital image correlation using proper generalized decomposition: PGD‐DIC [PDF]
SUMMARYA new method is proposed to measure the finite element (FE) displacement field from a deformed image in comparison with a reference one. In opposition to standard FE approaches, the unknown displacement is sought as a sum of products of separated dimension functions.

This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

METHODOLOGY FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE DIGITAL IMAGE CORRELATION (DIC) FOR INVESTIGATING RC BEAMS
The article discusses the improvement of the digital image correlation (DIC) method for analyzing deformations in RC beams, specifically focusing on the importance of zero-strain verification. This step is critical for ensuring high measurement accuracy, as it helps identify and minimize systematic and random errors.

High magnification crack-tip field characterisation under biaxial conditions [PDF]
This work presents a novel methodology for characterising fatigue cracks under biaxial conditions. The methodology uses high magnification Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique for measuring displacement and strain crack-tip fields. By applying micro-

A novel carbon fiber reinforcement for dielectric elastomer actuators enhances actuation force while decoupling electromechanical performance from the actuator's aspect ratio. Unlike conventional fiber reinforcements, it enables a uniform planar stretch state along the entire actuator.
