Sodium Alginate‐Based Submucosal Lifting Hydrogel for Endoscopic Mucosal Resection and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A biocompatible sodium alginate‐based hydrogel is developed as a next‐generation submucosal lifting agent intended for EMR and ESD. The optimized formulation exhibits a composition devoid of endotoxins, high viscosity, demonstrates reliable injectability, and ensures prolonged mucosal elevation.

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

Digitising the NHS

open access: yesITNOW, 2020
Abstract When Jeremy Hunt commissioned the Wachter Review in 2015, it was to find out how the NHS could upgrade and transform through the effective use of digital working hand in glove with education. Sam Shah, NHS Clinician and former Director of Digital Development at NHSX, talks to Johanna Hamilton AMBCS about the challenges of ...

Maskless Fabrication of PLA‐Based Neural Arrays for CNS Recording and Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Biodegradable neural interfaces enable bidirectional communication with the CNS. Through electrochemical characterization, ageing tests with impedance monitoring, and in vivo validation, we assess the performance of PLA‐based epicortical and spinal implants.
