Monogalactosyl diglyceride and digalactosyl diglyceride from commercial rapessed “lecithin”
Journal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, 1972AbstractBy silicic acid column separation small quantities of glycolipid‐rich fractions have been isolated from commercial Swedish rapeseed “lecithin.” Major components in these fractions are monogalactosyl diglyceride and digalactosyl diglyceride which have been identified by Rf on thin layer chromatography specific color reactions and IR spectrometry.

The polymorphism of diglycerides
Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, 1992AbstractThe polymorphism of 1,3‐dipalmitin, 1,2‐dipalmitoyl‐sn‐glycerol, 1.2‐dipalmitoyl‐rac‐glycerol has been examined by X‐ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. The respective spectra and thermographs are presented for these polymorphs.

Glycosyl diglycerides from Pseudomonas rubescens
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Lipids and Lipid Metabolism, 1968Abstract Glycolipids containing d -glucose and d -glucuronic acid have been isolated from Pseudomonas rubescens. The lipids belonged to the class of i -O-monoglycosyl diglycerides. In both lipids the glycosidic linkage had the β-configuration. Component fatty acids, which were the same for both lipids, ranged from C13 to C19 and included saturated,

Acyl migration in diglycerides
Journal of the Chemical Society C: Organic, 1966The equilibrium between 1,2-dipalmitin and 1,3-dipalmitin as a result of acyl migration has been studied using thin-layer chromatography and densitometry. When isomerisation is catalysed by potassium hydroxide, the composition of the equilibrium mixture varies with the temperature of the isomerisation.

Gas-liquid chromatographic analysis of diglycerides
Chemistry and Physics of Lipids, 1971Abstract A gas-liquid chromatography method for the resolution of 1,2-diglycerides of a given carbon number from the 1,3-isomers of the same carbon number is presented. Resolution of saturated diglycerides from the unsaturated diglycerides is also achieved, although complete resolution of unsaturated diglycerides is not obtained.

Monogalactosyl diglyceride: A new neurolipid
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Lipids and Lipid Metabolism, 1967Abstract 1. 1. Monogalactosyl diglyceride was isolated from bovine spinal cord and shown to be identical with the same lipid from spinach, except for fatty acid analysis. 2. 2. In particular, unequivocal evidence is presented for the presence of the β-glycosidic bond and the D configuration of the glyceryl moiety. 3. 3.

Analytical Biochemistry, 1968
Abstract A method has been developed for the quantitative and rapid estimation of sulfolipid and galactolipids in plant tissues. The procedure is based on the isolation of pure glycolipids by a combination of DEAE-cellulose column and thin-layer chromatography.

PHOSPHORYLATION OF DIGLYCERIDES BY RAT BRAIN
Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and Physiology, 1962The addition of D-α,β-dimyristin was observed to stimulate by three to six times the labelling of phospholipids from radioactive inorganic phosphate (Pi32) by glycolysing homogenates and respiring mitochondria of rat brain. The increase in labelling was confined to the glycerophosphate (GP) isolated by two-dimensional chromatography from the water ...

The preparation of unsymmetrical diglycerides
Journal of the Chemical Society C: Organic, 1967Racemic 1,2-di-O-acylglycerols containing stearic and palmitic acids were prepared from 1,2-di-O-acyl-3-O-2′-tetrahydropyranylglycerols by hydrolysis of the tetrahydropyranyl group with boric acid. The 1,2-di-O-acyl-3-O-2′-tetrahydropyranylglycerols were obtained by acylation of 3-O-2′-tetrahydropyranylglycerol which was prepared from glycerol 1,2 ...

CDP-diglyceride hydrolase from pig liver mitochondria
Canadian Journal of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, 1984A CDP-diglyceride hydrolase activity, measured by the release of [3H]CMP from labeled CDP-diglyceride, has been identified in pig liver mitochondria. A modified preparatory method for the synthesis of [3H]CDP-diglyceride of high specific activity and purity is also reported.
