Modulated phases in diluted ANNNI models
Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, 1983Abstract Persistency of the modulated phases in an anisotropic Ising model with nearest- and next-nearest-neighbor interactions is examined in the diluted system, by using the high-temperature series expansion. There appears to be no remarkable difference from the pure system in the wider range of concentration.

The structure of the β-phase in dilute copper–titanium alloys
Physica Status Solidi (a), 1979An experimental study is made of the β-phase in a copper alloy containing 5.7 at% titanium. A number of electron microscope techniques are used and in particular a large collection of diffraction data from the β-phase is obtained. It is shown that this data cannot be systematically interpreted within the framework of the usual choice of unit cell (due ...

Pneumatic Transport of Torrefied Biomass in Dilute and Dense Phase
2019Pulverized coal combustion and entrained flow gasification are two of the main technologies worldwide that use coal as feedstock. In a coal-fired power plant the pulverized fuel is transported pneumatically with air in dilute phase to the boiler whereas in the second case the coal is entrained into the gasifier in dense phase.

International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 1994
Abstract We propose a simplified theory for the particles-turbulence interaction in a dilute two-phase flow with particles of arbitrary sizes. The theory takes into account two sources of turbulence in particle-laden flows: (i) the carrier fluid velocity gradients; and (ii) turbulent wakes behind the coarse particles.
