Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Imperfect nesting and Peierls instability for a two-dimensional tight-binding model
Based on a half-filled two-dimensional tight-binding model with nearest-neighbour and next nearest-neighbour hopping the effect of imperfect Fermi surface nesting on the Peierls instability is studied at zero temperature.

Multi‐metal Cu─Ce─Ag nanoparticles harness synergistic interactions to drive efficient electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction toward C2+ products at high current densities. Ag enhances CO production, Ce modulates Cu oxidation states, and together they boost *CO coverage and local pH to enhance C─C coupling, enabling record C2+ yields with suppressed ...

Peptide Dimerization as a Strategy for the Development of Antileishmanial Compounds
Leishmaniasis is recognized as a serious public health problem in Brazil and around the world. The limited availability of drugs for treatment, added to the diversity of side effects and the emergence of resistant strains, shows the importance of ...

Rapid Suppression of the Spin Gap in Zn-doped CuGeO_3 and SrCu_2O_3
The influence of non-magnetic impurities on the spectrum and dynamical spin structure factor of a model for CuGeO$_3$ is studied. A simple extension to Zn-doped ${\rm Sr Cu_2 O_3}$ is also discussed.

Nucleation‐Controlled Reconstruction of CuOx for Selective CO2 Electroreduction
The ratio of oxygen vacancies (Ov) and exposed Cu2O (111)/(200) of CuOx precatalyst is modulated by nucleation control of Cu(OH)2 precursor. Low Ov ratio and high ratio of Cu2O (111)/(200) in slow‐nucleated CuOx reconstructs to high‐coordinated oxide‐derived copper (OD‐Cu) during electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) and exhibits enhanced ...

Dimeric Cinchona alkaloids [PDF]
Nature is full of dimeric alkaloids of various types from many plant families, some of them with interesting biological properties. However, dimeric Cinchona alkaloids were not isolated from any species but were products of designed partial chemical synthesis.

A valence bond liquid on the honeycomb lattice
The honeycomb lattice material Li2RuO3 undergoes a dimerization of Ru4+ cations on cooling below 270C, where the magnetic susceptibility vanishes. We use density functional theory calculations to show that this reflects the formation of a 'valence bond ...
