Cu(I)‐Catalyzed Interrupted Cycloaddition Between Azides, Ag(I)‐Acetylides, and Diorganoyl Dichalcogenides

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Unleashing the power of Ag(I)‐acetylides with LiCl/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The LiCl/DMSO mixture have an unexplored ability to dramatically increase the solubility of Ag(I)‐acetylides regardless of their molecular structure, which is explored to achieve high chemoselectivity in the Cu(I)‐catalyzed interrupted cycloaddition between organic azides, Ag(

Electrochemical Chemo‐ and Regioselective Heterofunctionalization of Tropones via C(sp2)H Derivatization

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Simple and selective. The electrochemical heterofunctionalization of activated tropones is achieved using readily available inorganic salts. A theoretical model, based on cyclic voltammetry and quantum chemistry calculations, predicts both reactivity trends and site selectivity.

Cs2AgBiBr6 Perovskites: Designing Stable, Sensitive and Selective Eco‐friendly Ozone Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
An eco‐friendly ozone (O3) sensor made from lead‐free Cs2AgBiBr6 double perovskite is presented. It operates efficiently at room temperature with low energy consumption, overcoming the limitations of traditional metal‐oxide‐based sensors. The optimized morphology design enhances ozone detection and demonstrates high selectivity for ozone over other ...

The Solvent Dimethyl Sulfoxide [PDF]

open access: possibleAngewandte Chemie International Edition in English, 1967
AbstractThe dipolar aprotic solvent dimethyl sulfoxide is liquid over a wide range of temperatures, is a strong electron donor, and has a high polarity. It is therefore an excellent and selective solvent for many organic and even polymeric compounds, and can enter into H‐bonding and dipole‐dipole association. The structure of dimethyl sulfoxide, with a
