Synthesis, spectral studies and insect antifeedant activities of some 4-substituted 1-naphthacyl bromide and its esters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
About nine 4-substituted 1-naphthacyl bromides and its esters have been synthesized by greener synthetic method using fly-ash catalyzed water mediated reaction.  These acyl bromides and esters have been characterized by their physical constants, Mass, IR

Advancing design strategies in smart stimulus‐responsive liposomes for drug release and nanomedicine

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of stimulus‐responsive liposomes designed for controlled drug release and nanomedicine. The innermost circle represents different liposomal structures, including unilamellar, multilamellar, and multivesicular liposomes. The middle layer illustrates the responsive phospholipid components.

Selective Synthesis of N,N‐Dimethylformamide From CO2 Hydrogenation Coupled With Dimethylamine Over a ZnZrOx Solid‐Solution Catalyst

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, EarlyView.
N‐formylation of dimethylamine though CO2 hydrogenation takes place at a ZnZrOx solid‐solution catalyst surface toward N,N‐dimethylformamide. By synergistic effect of Zn and Zr sites, the catalyst achieves 99% DMF selectivity at 14% DMA conversion at 280°C with at least 1000 h stability on steam.

Synthetic Cathepsin B Sensitive Adjuvant‐Peptide Conjugates to Target Intracellular Toll‐Like Receptors 7 and 8

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
Cathepsin B‐sensitive peptide–adjuvant conjugates are designed, synthesized, and evaluated to deliver an antigenic peptid and an adjuvant targeting Toll‐like receptors 7 and 8 (TLR7/8) to antigen presenting cells. The adjuvant is released by cathepsin B resulting in antigen presentation and TLR mediated T cell activation.

Conversion of Alcohols into Amines by Borrowing Hydrogen [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This thesis describes the development of a more economical catalytic system for the N-alkylation of amines by “borrowing hydrogen” and its application in the synthesis of a variety of amines including the dopamine agonist Piribedil and the antihistamine ...

Defect Suppression via Tailoring Functionalized Additives for Efficient and Stable CsPbI3 Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
This study proposed a structure‐designed benzohydrazide derivative, namely 4‐methoxybenzohydrazide (MeOBH), as an additive to regulate crystallization, passivate defects, optimize energy‐level structure, and enhance phase stability of β‐CsPbI3 perovskite films.

Rational Design of Inverted F‐Type Heterojunctions for Photocatalytic Emerging Contaminant Degradation

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
The inverted F‐type ZnWO4/In2S3 heterojunction enables efficient charge separation and retention of strong oxidative capability through interfacial electric field regulation, leading to non‐toxic degradation of contaminants for sustainable water treatment.

Highly Potent Fluorogenic Ligands for Triplex DNA: 5‐Substituted 2‐(Naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐Chromen‐4‐Ones

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
5‐Substituted 2‐(naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐ones are reported as a novel class of highly potent and selective triplex DNA ligands. These ligands induce triplex formation at submicromolar concentrations and inhibit enzymatic activity via ligand‐mediated triplex formation.
