Mineral profile of kaki fruits (Diospyros kaki L.)
Food Chemistry, 2015The main objective of this study was the determination of the mineral profile of 167 kaki fruit (Diospyros kaki L.) samples produced from different regions of Spain, including samples with the protected designation of origin (PDO) 'Kaki Ribera del Xúquer' Valencia (Spain).

Extraction of carotenoids from biological matrices and quantifications remains a difficult task. Accelerated solvent extraction was used as an efficient extraction process for carotenoids extraction from three fruits cultivated in Tunisia: kaki (Diospyros kaki L.), peach (Prunus persica L.) and apricot (Prunus armeniaca L.).

Astringency of Persimmons (Diospyros kaki, L.)
Nature, 1963IT is a well-known fact that unripe persimmons which are fully coloured but firm are astringent, and that on ripening the astringency disappears concomitant with a softening of the fruit into a jelly-like consistency.

Decline of persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) trees on Diospyros virginiana rootstocks
Scientia Horticulturae, 1991Abstract Persimmon trees ( Diospyros kaki L.) grafted on Diospyros virginiana L. rootstock seedlings frequently grow very poorly and show several decline symptoms. Rootstock and scion girths of declining trees were smaller than those of healthy trees. Trees grafted on D. kaki rootstocks did not decline. In declining trees, the wood colour close

Micropropagation of Japanese Persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.)
1992Persimmons belong to the genus Diospyros in the family Ebenaceae from which comes the ebony wood, a valuable timber for furniture. The genus contains nearly 400 species, most of which are natives of tropical and subtropical regions. Among them, only four species are important for their fruit production. They are D. kaki L., D. lotus L., D. virginiana L.

Role of Brassinosteroids in Persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.) Fruit Ripening
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2018Brassinosteroids (BRs) are phytohormones that regulate numerous processes including fruit ripening. In this study, persimmon ( Diospyros kaki L.) fruits were treated with 24-epibrassinolide (EBR) or brassinazole (Brz, a BR biosynthesis inhibitor) and then stored at ambient temperature.
