Neuroprotective Effects of Extracts from Diospyros kaki L. Peel

open access: yesKorean journal of food and cookery science, 2011
Abstract This study was performed to assess the neuroprotective effects of methanolic extracts from sweet persimmon peel (PPE) against glutamate-induced cytotoxicity in hybridoma N18-RE-105 cells. The neuroprotective effects of PPE in N18-RE-105 cells were measured using the MTT reduction assay, LDH release assay, and phase-contrast microscopy.
