A Bisnitroxyl Dipeptide

Liebigs Annalen der Chemie, 1992
AbstractThe dinitroxylamide 8 is synthesized from the monomer 4‐amino‐4‐carboxy‐2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidine‐1‐oxyl (2). The benzyloxycarbonyl group as amino protective group and the methoxy group as carboxyl protective group have been introduced. The acylation of compound 3 with compound 4 is carried out in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide ...

Glutamine dipeptides in clinical nutrition

Nutrition, 1997
Glutamine is a conditional indispensable amino acid during stress. However, limited solubility and instability of glutamine prevent its addition to presently available nutritional preparations. To overcome these drawbacks, we propose the dipeptide concept by which stable and highly soluble synthetic glutamine containing dipeptides are used.

Determination of dipeptides in urine

Clinica Chimica Acta, 1974
Abstract The urine of a patient suffering from dermatological purpura was examined for dipeptides by combined gas chromatography—mass spectrometry. Several dipeptides were identified and all were of the general formula, R proline, where R is one of the amino acids, glycine, alanine, leucine, isoleucine, valine, phenylalanine, glutamic acid, aspartic ...

Simulated dipeptide recognition by vancomycin

Journal of Molecular Recognition, 1997
The antimicrobial activity of vancomycin and related glycopeptide antibiotics is due to stereospecific recognition of polypeptide components in bacterial cell walls. To better understand how these antibiotics recognize polypeptide determinants, we have developed dynamic models of the complexes formed by the vancomycin aglycon and two different ...

CONFORMATIONAL STUDIES ON CYCLIC DIPEPTIDES*

International Journal of Peptide and Protein Research, 1977
An analysis of 11 crystal structures of cyclic dipeptides so far reported in the literature is made, with main reference to the internal parameters of these molecules. Preferred conformations of the side chains of cyclic dipeptides with different α‐amino acid residues have been studied by classical energy calculations. The possible conformations of the

Reversibly Thermochromic Cyclic Dipeptide Nanotubes

Langmuir, 2018
Owing to their capability of forming extensive hydrogen bondings and the facile introduction of chirality, cyclic dipeptides (CDPs) have gained great attention as scaffolds for functional supramolecules. Surprisingly, introduction of a photopolymerizable diacetylene (DA) moiety to the CDP afforded nanotubular structures with enhanced stability and ...

Synthese hydroxyethylenisosterer Dipeptide
