Diphtheria Antitoxin Levels and the Schick Reaction in Mothers and their Newborns

One hundred and sixty one mothers and their newborns were tested for their Schick state. In 18 cases diphtheria antitoxin levels were determined in maternal and cord blood. A Schick positive reaction was found in 3.1 % of mothers.
