Forming and confining of dipolar excitons by quantizing magnetic fields [PDF]
We show that a magnetic field perpendicular to an AlGaAs/GaAs coupled quantum well efficiently traps dipolar excitons and leads to the stabilization of the excitonic formation and confinement in the illumination area. Hereby, the density of dipolar excitons is remarkably enhanced up to $\sim 10^{11} cm^{-2}$.

A novel dual‐atom manganese MRI contrast agent (Mn‐BN) with a unique asymmetric coordination geometry provided a promising platform for sensitive and specific tumor imaging. In mice model, Mn‐BN nanoparticles precisely functioned as both a primary tumor‐specific enhancer in subcutaneous models and a hepatocyte‐specific agent in liver metastases models ...

Simulations of equilibrium magnetic and magnetoelastic properties of non-conducting rare-earth compounds [PDF]
The Hamiltonian of the magnetic subsystem containing rare-earth ions involves energies of the localized 4f-electrons in free ions, energies of interactions of the 4f-electrons with the static crystal field in the perfect crystal lattice as well as in the

Biotemplating arrays of nanomagnets using the biomineralisation protein Mms6 [PDF]
High quality magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) are used in applications such as electronic data storage. Current methods for synthesising the consistent MNPs required use high temperatures, harsh chemicals and bespoke equipment.

Enhanced Stability in Zero‐Excess Li‐Metal Batteries via Prelithiated Carbon Nanofiber Interlayers
Carbon nanofibers carbonized at 700°C show Li metal deposition predominantly on the side facing the Cu current collector. During delithiation, Li agglomerates remain as inactive lithium on the fiber surface. This behavior can be changed by a modified n‐Buli prelithiation without a washing step, suppressing dead Li formation and therefore enabling ...

Epimer discrimination remains challenging due to subtle NMR differences. Here, we propose a methodology based on 13C‐RCSA and RDC anisotropic parameters, enabling the assignment of two flexible tetraprenyltoluquinol epimers (1a and 1b) with remote stereoclusters.

Controlling collective rotational patterns of magnetic rotors
A challenge of magnetically-actuated devices is to obtain different behaviours from each component under the same driving field. Here the authors tune the dipolar interactions between rotors to obtain different rotational behaviours when actuated by a ...
