Dipole−Dipole Interactions in Nanoparticle Superlattices

Nano Letters, 2007
Nanoparticles often self-assemble into hexagonal-close-packed (hcp) structures although it is predicted to be less stable than face-centered-cubic (fcc) packing in hard-sphere models. In addition to close-packed fcc and hcp superlattices, we observe formation of nonclose-packed simple-hexagonal (sh) superlattices of nearly spherical PbS, PbSe, and ...

Resonant dipole-dipole interaction in a cavity

Physical Review A, 1995
Resonant dipole-dipole interaction (RDDI) in a Fabry-P\'erot cavity is studied by the mode-expansion method. It is shown that the RDDI depends upon three factors: the length of the cavity, the positions of molecules, and the polarization of dipoles.

Long-range dipole-dipole interactions in a plasmonic lattice

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2021
We observe long-range dipole-dipole interactions in a plasmonic lattice mediated by collective plasmonic lattice modes. Fluorescence lifetime measurements show density-dependent non-exponential decay dynamics that commensurate to over 800 nm mean nearest-neighbor separation between interacting emitters.
