Reconfigurable metamaterial dipole antenna

2014 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2014
In this paper a reconfigurable dipole antenna at the frequency of 3.33 GHz is presented. This antenna offers a gain enhancement of about 3 dB over a conventional dipole and also provides a reconfigurable pattern in the E-plane. To produce these features, the antenna uses a new reconfigurable metamaterial unit-cell.

Diamond dipole active antenna

2015 International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques (ICATT), 2015
Advantages of the diamond dipole antenna as an active antenna are presented. Such an antenna is like an inverted bow-tie antenna, but the former has some advantages over the ordinary bow-tie antenna. It is shown that the diamond dipole antenna may be an effective element of a new antenna array for low-frequency radio astronomy as well as a ...

Orthogonal infrared dipole antenna

Infrared Physics & Technology, 2008
A dual-dipole structure is demonstrated at 10.6 μm, which facilitates electronic cancellation of the non-antenna-coupled thermal response of an infrared antenna-coupled bolometer. Structures of this type may also find utility in high-spatial-resolution measurement of Stokes parameters of a beam of radiation.

Parabolically Bent Dipole Antenna

TELSIKS 2005 - 2005 uth International Conference on Telecommunication in ModernSatellite, Cable and Broadcasting Services, 2006
The aim of this paper is to present the usage of integral equation for current distribution at curvilinear dipole antennas, which is originally developed by the first author, on the example of parabolically bend dipole. Without details, such as describing the procedures for isolation of quasi-singularity, numerical integration, etc, which can be found ...

Long‐Periodic Dipole Antenna

Radio Science, 1967
A 12‐element log‐periodic dipole antenna is investigated with the three‐term theory described and verified experimentally in a companion paper (Cheong and King, 1967). The general frequency‐independent behaviour for the distributions of current, the driving‐point admittances, and the power for all elements over a wide range of frequencies.

Modified folded dipole antenna

Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology - ICWET '11, 2011
This paper describes experimentally how a folded dipole antenna is better in performance than a simple dipole antenna and also describes an alternate way to design folded dipole antenna compatible with loop antenna to generate circular polarized wave.

Modified dipole type antenna

2012 IEEE 11th International Conference on Actual Problems of Electronics Instrument Engineering (APEIE), 2012
New dipole type antenna fed from waveguide is designed using method of moments and induced electromotive forces. Numeric and experimental results are presented. In order to drive arm of antenna with waveguide WR-430 two equal magnitude anti-phase signals are used.

Dipole array lens antenna

1980 Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 1980
As electromagnetic energy passes through a planar array of linear dipoles, it undergoes a phase shift which is a function of the operating frequency and the array parameters. This property has been used to design and construct a lightweight zoned microwave lens antenna which has possible spacecraft applications.

Broadband hybrid dipole antenna

2016 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2016
A compact hybrid dipole antenna is presented with enhanced bandwidth. The antenna consists of a half-wavelength driven dipole and a one-wavelength parasitic folded dipole. By properly engineering the resonant frequencies of the driven dipole and the parasitic folded dipole, wide bandwidth with S 11 ≤ −10 is achieved from 1.82 GHz to 2.27 GHz (450 MHz,

Wideband patch dipole antenna

2005 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2005
A novel wideband patch dipole antenna is proposed and simulated by Ansoft HFSS. Calculated results show that the relative bandwidth can reach 66.7% with VSWR less than 2. A model antenna is fabricated with microstrip structure. Good agreement is achieved between experimental and simulated results.
