Antenna factors of dipole and monopole antennas
Proceedings of 20th Biennial Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements, 2002Antenna factors of dipole antennas in the frequency range 20 MHz to 600 MHz have been determined to an uncertainty of /spl plusmn/0.1 dB (95%CL) and of monopole antennas in the range 10 MHz to 100 MHz to an uncertainty of /spl plusmn/0.15 dB. This leads to an advance in the precision with which electric field strength of free-space signals can be ...

Modified folded dipole antenna
Proceedings of the International Conference & Workshop on Emerging Trends in Technology - ICWET '11, 2011This paper describes experimentally how a folded dipole antenna is better in performance than a simple dipole antenna and also describes an alternate way to design folded dipole antenna compatible with loop antenna to generate circular polarized wave.

The concept of extending the operating bandwidth of a dipole has been investigated, and two bandwidth extension approaches were studied. The first approach involves the use of parasitic elements to physically change the length of the dipole. The second approach involves capacitively loading a dipole via varactor diodes to produce a travelling-wave ...

Overview of Research on Broadband of Dipole Antenna
2019 IEEE 19th International Conference on Communication Technology (ICCT), 2019The methods of realizing broadband of dipole antenna are summarized and analyzed. Due to the narrow operating frequency band of the dipole antenna, in order to improve the bandwidth of the dipole antenna and improve its spectrum efficiency, the broadband of the dipole antenna is studied. This is also in line with the research trend of broadband antenna.

Electrically small Huygens dipole antennas and their unidirectional radiation properties and their applications will be reviewed. Examples of the progress in realizing multifunctional and reconfigurable Huygens source designs will be described. Applications such as wireless power transfer (WPT) and wirelessly powered sensors will be discussed.

The Parametric Optimization of Wire Dipole Antennas
IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2011The shape representation of planar wire dipole antennas of fixed radius is discussed. Away from the feed point the shape can be always represented as a arc-length parametrizable Lipschitz-continuously differentiable curve. The representation is applied to classical directivity optimization design problems as well as impedance optimization problems.

Printed Dipole Antenna with Stepped-Width Dipoles
2020 1st International Conference Problems of Informatics, Electronics, and Radio Engineering (PIERE), 2020The new printed dipole antenna is presented in the paper. The main advantage of the antenna in comparison with classic printed dipole antenna is a small length of dipoles due to their stepped configuration. The antenna works at two central frequencies simultaneously and can be used both as a standalone antenna and as a part of antenna arrays.

Transient Response of a Dipole Antenna
Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1962The transient current in a long dipole antenna excited by a step-function voltage across an infinitesimal center gap has recently been calculated by Wu. A simpler derivation of Wu's result is given using double Fourier transformation.
