Compressive wideband direction of arrival estimation
2015 38th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2015Compressive Sampling (CS) has recently emerged as a groundbreaking technique which reconstructs the sparse signal using samples taken below Nyquist sampling frequency (sub-Nyquist samples). In this paper we consider to estimate the Direction of Arrival (DOA) of wideband signals using sub-Nyquist samples.

A Direct Wideband Direction of Arrival Estimation under Compressive Sensing
2013 IEEE 10th International Conference on Mobile Ad-Hoc and Sensor Systems, 2013Compressive Sensing (CS) theory witnesses great breakthrough in signal acquisition and processing. In this paper we focus on the application of direction of arrival (DoA) and proposed a compressive sensing based direct DoA estimation framework (CS-DDoA) for wireless sensor array network.

Direct compression characteristics of xylitol
International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 1990Abstract A study of the compaction characteristics of xylitol, a naturally occurring non-cariogenic sugar alcohol, employed as a sweetener in tableting has been made, using a wide range of compression speeds (24–850 mm/s). Heckel analysis, radial tensile strength, elastic recovery, net compaction energy and the compaction force/tensile strength ...

Anhydrous Lactose in Direct Tablet Compression
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1966The use of anhydrous lactose U.S.P. XVII, tablet grade, as a diluent in direct tablet compression was investigated. It was found that it possesses excellent tableting properties and can be run on a high-speed tablet machine. The placebo and active tablets produced were not affected by elevated temperatures, high humidity, and direct sunlight.

Directional image compression with brushlets
Proceedings of Third International Symposium on Time-Frequency and Time-Scale Analysis (TFTS-96), 2002We construct a new adaptive basis that provide precise frequency localization and good spatial localization. We develop a compression algorithm that exploits this basis to obtain the most economical representation of the image in terms of textured patterns with different orientations, frequencies, sizes, and positions.

Directional frame interpolation for MPEG compressed video
SPIE Proceedings, 2012Image interpolation is one of the most elementary imaging research topics. A number of image interpolation methods have been developed for uncompressed images in the literature. However, a lot of videos have already been stored in MPEG-2 format or have to be transmitted in MPEG-2 format due to bandwidth limitation.

[Direct compression nitrazepam tablets].
Die Pharmazie, 1989Tablets of nitrazepam were made by direct compression. The influence of different dry binders and other adjuvants on the physical parameters of the tablets and their texture (scanning electron microscope: SEM) were examined. Changes in the physical parameter can be explanded if the texture is known.
