Positive Direct Coombs Tests with Anti‐IgA Antiserum

open access: closedVox Sanguinis, 1970
Abstract. Six patients with hemolytic anemia were found to have positive direct antiglobulin tests with antisera to IgA, in addition to positive reactions with anti‐IgG, ‐IgM or C3 antisera. Absorption studies suggest that IgA exists as a complex with other immunoglobulins.
