Optical Triple-Band Multiplexing Enabling Beyond-600 Gb/s Single-Photodiode Reception for Intra-AIDC Interconnects

open access: yesPhotonics
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) models including GPT, Gemini, and DeepSeek are reshaping embodied agents, temporal prediction, and autonomous driving, demanding a ten-fold annual growth in training FLOPS that Moore’s law can no longer sustain ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Single photodiode-based direct detection for Twin-SSB-QPSK signal in optical fiber communication systems

open access: yesTongxin xuebao
To address the high-cost issue of twin single sideband quadrature phase shift keying (Twin-SSB-QPSK) signals in optical transmission, a optical fiber communication system was proposed, in which a single photodetector (PD) was employed at the receiver to ...

Advancing poliovirus eradication: lessons learned from piloting direct molecular detection of polioviruses in high-risk and priority geographies

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum
In the Global Polio Laboratory Network (GPLN), poliovirus (PV) screening results from acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) surveillance is based on virus isolation (VI) through cell culture, entailing long turnaround times and the amplification of live ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Direct Detection: Liquid Nobles

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2016
Over the past decade, detectors based on liquid noble elements have been at the frontier in the search for WIMP dark matter. They have been shown to powerfully combine low threshold, low background, recoil ID, large mass and self shielding, leading to unprecedented sensitivity to WIMP-nuclear recoil scatters.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
