C–C chemokine receptor type 9 (CCR9) is an immune checkpoint in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Novel anti‐CCR9 antibody SRB2 was evaluated in combination with cytotoxic chemotherapy in PDAC cells, patient‐derived organoids, patient‐derived xenografts, and humanized mouse models.

Sea anemone model has a single Toll-like receptor that can function in pathogen detection, NF-κB signal transduction, and development [PDF]
In organisms from insects to vertebrates, Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are primary pathogen detectors that activate downstream pathways, specifically those that direct expression of innate immune effector genes.

Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Crucial role of local peroxynitrite formation in neutrophil-induced endothelial cell activation [PDF]
Introduction and methods: The reaction of superoxide anions and NO not only results in a decreased availability of NO, but also leads to the formation of peroxynitrite, the role of which in the cardiovascular system is still discussed controversially. In

TRIM24 and TRIM28 are androgen receptor (AR) coregulators which exhibit increased expression with cancer progression. Both TRIM24 and TRIM28 combine to influence the response of castrate‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) cells to AR inhibitors by mediating AR signalling, regulation of MYC and upregulating VEGF to promote angiogenesis. Castrate‐resistant

Background: Since the outer root sheath of hair follicle is structurally analogous to epidermal keratinocytes, direct immunofluorescence of hair may be an alternate method for monitoring disease activity of pemphigus vulgaris. Our objective was to find

Diagnosis of infectious bovine rhinotracheitis by direct immunofluorescence [PDF]
Summary Clinical signs, virus excretion and immunofluorescence in nasal smears were studied in nine susceptible steers during a two week period, following intranasal expo-sure with IBR-virus. All animals responded with fever (ay. 3.9 days) and nasal discharge. IBR-virus was isolated from nasal swabs from 1 to 11 days after exposure (ay.

Human cytomegalovirus infection is common in normal prostate epithelium, prostate tumor tissue, and prostate cancer cell lines. CMV promotes cell survival, proliferation, and androgen receptor signaling. Anti‐CMV pharmaceutical compounds in clinical use inhibited cell expansion in prostate cancer models in vitro and in vivo, motivating investigation ...
