Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Direct and Indirect Measurement of Complex Poisson's Ratio - Direct Measurement in Tension
This data set contains directly determined complex Poisson's ratio from axial and transversal strain measurements. Here, the axial and transverse strains were measured locally with strain gauges (K-CXY3-0015-3-350-O, HBK, Darmstadt, Germany) on cylindric

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Dynamic properties of stainless steel under direct tension loading using a simple gas gun
The combined experimental and theoretical approach was applied to the study of high-speed deformation and fracture of the 1810 stainless steel. The material tests were performed using a split Hopkinson pressure bar to determine dynamic stress-strain ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Directional Destress with Tension Blasting in Coal Mines
Abstract In China, engineering geological disasters are frequently encountered in the underground mining sites where room and pillar method is used. This paper presents a novel method for developing the gateway tunnel without any excavation using directional tension blasting (DTB) in the mine panels. The mining-induced stress transfer will be blocked
