Analysis of 3 Phase Induction Motor Speed Control with Direct Torque Control (DTC) Method Based on PID Control

open access: yesJurnal Ecotipe (Electronic, Control, Telecommunication, Information, and Power Engineering), 2020
This research was conducted to regulate the three phase induction motor speed regulation system. Changes in load on the motor affect the motor speed response so it does not match the set point speed. This study uses the Direct Torque Control (DTC) method in regulating the speed of an induction motor.

Torque Ripple Reduction and Flux-Droop Minimization of DTC With Improved Interleaving CSFTC of IM Fed by Three-Level NPC Inverter

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Direct torque control (DTC) is known for its fast control in AC motor drives due to its simple control structure that directly controls the torque without the need for modulation blocks or frame transformations. However, when used in induction motor (IM)

Enhanced Hiking Optimization Algorithm for Robust PID Control in Doubly‐Fed Induction Generator Systems for Wind Energy Applications

open access: yesIET Control Theory &Applications, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper presents an innovative approach to optimizing PID controller parameters for DFIG systems, a cornerstone of modern wind energy applications. The proposed method leverages the HOA, inspired by Tobler's walking function, and integrates an enhanced version of the ZLG objective function.

Research on Torque Ripple Suppression of Open‐Winding BLDCM Based on Zero Vector

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
Torque ripple suppression in OW‐BLDCM remains a major challenge due to their unique back‐electromotive force characteristics and phase‐off operation. To address this, we conduct a systematic theoretical analysis of zero‐voltage vector commutation and propose a novel zero‐voltage vector selection strategy to prevent simultaneous three‐phase conduction ...

On Hyper‐Stability Theory Based Multivariable Nonlinear Adaptive Control: Experimental Validation on Induction Motors

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper introduces a Hyperstable Model Reference Adaptive Controller (H‐MRAC) for induction motor drives, leveraging hyper‐stability principles, Popov's stability criterion, and Landau's propositions for robust adaptation. By explicitly accounting for system nonlinearities, it achieves a stable speed and flux regulation under both internal and ...
