The traditional passive azimuth estimation algorithm using two hydrophones, such as cross-correlation time-delay estimation and cross-spectral phase estimation, requires a high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) to ensure the clarity of the estimated target ...

A fast method for direction-of-arrival estimation
In many eigenvalue-eigenvector-based direction-of-arrival estimation algorithms, one finds orthogonal basis vectors for the noise subspace. We propose a circulant basis for the noise space which can be calculated more efficiently than an orthogonal basis.

Habitat Monitoring using wireless sensor networks [PDF]
The deployment of wireless sensor networks in habitat monitoring is gaining importance as the manpower cost is increasing day by day. The positions of the cattle is detected and if detections at successive time intervals indicate that the position of the

Direction of Arrival Estimation using EM-ESPRIT with nonuniform arrays
International audienceAbstract This paper deals with the problem of the Direction Of Arrival (DOA) estimation with nonuniform linear arrays. The proposed method is based on the Expectation Maximization method where ESPRIT is used in the maximization step.

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

Bayesian CRLB for hybrid ToA and DoA based wireless localization with anchor uncertainty [PDF]
In this paper, we derive the Bayesian Cramér-Rao lower bound for three dimensional hybrid localization using time-of-arrival (ToA) and direction-of-arrival (DoA) types of measurements.

Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...
