“Find Direction Out”: In the Archives of Hamlet [PDF]

open access: yesShakespeare Bulletin, 2010
This essay proposes practical engagement with archived materials as a model for the director's creative process, a process which also considers the play as a form of archival record: that the play-text is itself an archive of its own world. That archive, the article suggests, can be supplemented by historical research and interpreted with techniques ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Conjugate propagator method for direction finding

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2008
A new direction finding algorithm called conjugate propagator method (COP) for one-dimension signals was proposed. The new algorithm uses the array output and its conjugate form to extend the array aperture so that it can detect more signals than sensors

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

EVALUATION OF ERRORS CAUSED BY FALURE OF ANTENNA SYSTEM ELEMENTS INAN AERODROME AUTOMATIC RADIO DIRECTION FINDER

open access: yesВестник Дагестанского государственного технического университета: Технические науки, 2018
Objectives The aim of the study is to develop a mathematical model for determining the direction-finding error of an aerodrome automatic direction finder (ADF), depending on the position of the defective vibrator relative to the source of radio emission ...

Primena metode MUSIC za određivanje smera dolaska radio-signala korišćenjem antenskih nizova ADCOCK / Application of the MUSIC method for direction of arrival estimation using the ADCOCK antenna arrays [PDF]

open access: yesVojnotehnički Glasnik, 2002
Analiziran je problem procene smera dolaska radio-signala metodom MUSIC korišćenjem antenskih nizova ADCOCK. Formulisan je matematički model signala na antenskom nizu ADCOCK.

Compact Amplitude-Only Direction Finding Based on a Deep Neural Network with a Single-Patch Multi-Beam Antenna

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In this paper, a compact direction-finding system based on a deep neural network (DNN) with a single-patch multi-beam antenna is proposed. To achieve multiple beams, the patch is divided into four sectors by metal vias, and the pattern is tilted in the ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

2D Direction of Arrival Estimation Using Uniform Circular Arrays With Radiation Pattern Reconfigurable Antennas

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This paper focuses on direction of arrival (DoA) estimation using adaptive arrays that consist of radiation pattern reconfigurable antenna (RPRA) elements for 2D direction finding (i.e., azimuth and elevation DoA estimation).
