This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

On directional derivatives for cone-convex functions
We investigate the relationship between the existence of directional derivatives for cone-convex functions with values in a Banach space Y and isomorphisms between Y and c0.

Optimally Rotation-Equivariant Directional Derivative Kernels
. We describe a framework for the design of directional derivative kernels for two-dimensional discrete signals in which we optimize a measure of rotation-equivariance in the Fourier domain.

Directional derivative of vector field and regular curves on time scales
The general idea in this paper is to study curves of the parametric equations where the parameter varies in a so-called time scale, which may be an arbitrary closed subset of the set of all real numbers.

A numerical–experimental framework is developed for characterizing multi‐matrix fiber‐reinforced polymers (MM‐FRPs) combining epoxy and polyurethane matrices. Harmonic bending tests are integrated with finite element model updating (FEMU) to simultaneously identify elastic and viscoelastic material parameters.

A survey on C 1,1 fuctions: theory, numerical methods and applications [PDF]
In this paper we survey some notions of generalized derivative for C 1,1 functions. Furthermore some optimality conditions and numerical methods for nonlinear minimization problems involving C1,1 data are studied.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

A combined finite element and phase‐field approach predicts the evolution of microstructure during the directional solidification of Ni‐based superalloys. The model reveals how withdrawal rate, temperature gradient, and wall thickness control the dendrite spacing, highlighting the strong effect of surface regions in thin sections where dendrite growth ...

Dunkl-Type Operators with Projection Terms Associated to Orthogonal Subsystems in Root System
In this paper, we introduce a new differential-difference operator T_ξ (ξ∈R^N) by using projections associated to orthogonal subsystems in root systems.

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.
