Maximal directional derivatives in Laakso space
We investigate the connection between maximal directional derivatives and differentiability for Lipschitz functions defined on Laakso space. We show that maximality of a directional derivative for a Lipschitz function implies differentiability only for a [Formula: see text]-porous set of points.

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

First- and second-order directional differentiability of locally Lipschitzian functions
In this paper, characterizations of the existence of the directional derivative and second-order parabolic directional derivative of a locally Lipschitzian function are established.

Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

Second-order Dini set-valued directional derivative in $C^{1,1} vector optimization
The constrained vector optimization problem [image omitted] is studied, where [image omitted], [image omitted] and [image omitted] are C1,1 functions, and [image omitted] and [image omitted] are closed convex cones.

A Lightweight Procedural Layer for Hybrid Experimental–Computational Workflows in Materials Science
We unveil a prototype hybrid‐workflow framework that fuses automatedcomputation with hands‐on experiments. Built atop pyiron, a lightweight, parameterized layer translates procedure descriptions into executable manual steps, syncing instrument settings, human interventions, and data capture in real‐time today.

Optimality conditions for set optimization using a directional derivative based on generalized Steiner sets [PDF]
Set-optimization has attracted increasing interest in the last years, as for instance uncertain multiobjective optimization problems lead to such problems with a set- valued objective function.

On the Edge Derivative of the Normalized Laplacian with Applications to Kemeny's Constant
In a connected graph, Kemeny's constant gives the expected time of a random walk from an arbitrary vertex $x$ to reach a randomly-chosen vertex $y$. Because of this, Kemeny's constant can be interpreted as a measure of how well a graph is connected.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

THE PROBLEM OF CONTOURS IN TRANSFORM IMAGE CODING
Object contours contribute to a large extent to the perceived quality of an image but are typically quite hard to compress. As a matter of facts, many coding algorithms fail to describe efficiently this information.
