Integrating Time‐Adjusted Imaging Instability Into Functional Outcome Prediction After Intracerebral Hemorrhage: Development and Validation of the HAGIV Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Early risk stratification may support clinical decision‐making in spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). We aimed to develop and internally validate HAGIV, a score integrating frequency of imaging markers (FIM), a time‐adjusted non‐contrast computed tomography (CT) metric of hematoma expansion, with established predictors for 90‐

Methodology to estimate bycatch and discards [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
FAO Fisheries Technical Paper 339 (1994) provided the first estimation of global bycatch and discards, however, the estimated discards of 27 million tons have been abolished at FAO Consultation Meeting in Tokyo (1996).

DISCARDS OF THE INDONESIAN TUNA LONGLINE FISHERY IN INDIAN OCEAN

open access: yes, 2013
Incidental by-catch and associated discarding are difficult to estimate on the basis of logbook information because they are poorly reported by fishing masters and their importance varies with several interrelated factors. The purpose of this paper is to

Modeling discards in Trawling Mediterranean Northern Alboran Sea Fishery [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Target and Bycatch species metrics estimated from fishery-dependent data were explored to assess their use in governance of habitat conservation in respect to fisheries.

Commercial catches and discards of a Mediterranean small-scale cuttlefish fishery: implications of the new EU discard policy

open access: yesScientia Marina, 2018
The cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis) trammel net fishery is one of the most important small-scale fisheries in the Mediterranean Sea. Here we describe the main catch, by-catch and discard patterns found in this fishery on Mallorca Island by onboard surveys

A fish stock assessment model using survey data when estimates of catch are unreliable

open access: yes, 2013
Methods of assessment that depend upon commercial catch data can be undermined by misreporting or where parts of the catch, such as discards, are not accounted for.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.
