Uncertainty regarding instantaneous discharge obtained from stage–discharge rating curves built with low density discharge measurements

open access: yesIngeniería e Investigación, 2012
This work concerned uncertainty analysis for constructing stage–discharge rating curves to estimate error or uncertainty regarding calculated discharges, considering different discharge measurement availability scenarios.

Partial discharge behavior and insulation failures detection in electrical devices subjected to impulse voltage excitation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Partial discharges can occur within an insulating system due to flaws in the material and can cause continuous deterioration until a full breakdown occurs.

Run-off modelling in an Arctic unglaciated catchment (Fuglebekken, Spitsbergen)

open access: yesAnnals of Glaciology, 2017
The goal of this study is to test applicability of the conceptual catchment run-off HBV model to simulate discharge in small non-glaciated Arctic catchment. Within two ablation seasons, 2014 and 2015, in the Fuglebekken catchment (Spitsbergen, Svalbard),

Effects of Horizontal Vibration on Hopper Flows of Granular Material [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
This study experimentally examines the flow of glass spheres in a wedge-shaped hopper that is vibrated hoizontally. When the hopper is discharged without vibration, discharge occurs as a funnel flow, with the material exiting the central region of the ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Swath-altimetry measurements of the main stem Amazon River: measurement errors and hydraulic implications [PDF]

open access: yesHydrology and Earth System Sciences, 2015
The Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission, scheduled for launch in 2020, will provide a step-change improvement in the measurement of terrestrial surface-water storage and dynamics.

Parametric measurements on a doped CO2TEA laser [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Parametric measurements have been performed on a CO2TEA laser with a discharge volume of 6.5 × 6.5 × 45 cm3. The effect of a low ionization seed gas, tri-n-propylamine, upon amplification, power output and voltage-current characteristics has been ...

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Width‐Based Discharge Partitioning in Distributary Networks: How Right We Are

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2022
River deltas are home to large populations and can be composed of complex channel networks which convey flows of matter to the shoreline. Knowledge of flow within individual channels is needed to quantify the distribution of discharge across the delta ...

Polarization-dependent discharge in fibers of semiconducting ladder-type polymer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We report results on polarization-dependent photoinduced discharge in oriented fibers and films of ladder-type, electron-transporting polymer poly (benzimidazobenzophenanthroline), BBL.
