Defect Evolution and Mechanical Performance of Fused Filament Fabrication‐Manufactured 17‐4PH Stainless Steel Revealed by X‐Ray Computed Tomography

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...

Inverse spectral problem for Dirac operator with discontinuous coefficient and polynomials in boundary condition

open access: yes, 2016
In this work, the inverse scattering problem for Dirac equations system with discontinuous coefficient and higher order polynomials of spectral parameter in the boundary condition is considered.

Third-order operator-differential equations with discontinuous coefficients and operators in the boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
We study a third-order operator-differential equation on the semi-axis with a discontinuous coefficient and boundary conditions which include an abstract linear operator.

Surface Morphology of Structural Plane and Effects of the Shear Strength Parameters

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2018
The surface morphology of a discontinuous structural plane in a natural rock mass is irregular. In studies on the shear strength of discontinuous structural planes, Barton introduced the joint roughness coefficient (JRC) to describe and calibrate the ...

Stretching the Printability Metric in Direct‐Ink Writing with Highly Extensible Yield‐Stress Fluids

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces “drawability” as a new metric for assessing printability in direct‐ink writing, focusing on gap‐spanning performance and speed robustness. By designing yield‐stress fluids with high extensibility, we demonstrate that extensional strain‐to‐break significantly enhances printability.

Convergence of the Euler-Maruyama method for multidimensional SDEs with discontinuous drift and degenerate diffusion coefficient

open access: yes, 2018
We prove strong convergence of order 1/4 - E for arbitrarily small E > 0 of the Euler-Maruyama method for multidimensional stochastic differential equations (SDEs) with discontinuous drift and degenerate diffusion coefficient.

The implementation of the mortar spectral element discretization of the heat equation with discontinuous diffusion coefficient

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2019
We propose to implement the mortar spectral elements discretization of the heat equation in a bounded two-dimensional domain with a piecewise continuous diffusion coefficient. The discretization on time is based on the Euler implicit method.

Strain‐Programmable Luminescent Adhesive Patch With Tartrazine‐Mediated Optical Skin Clearing for Photochemical Tissue Bonding

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,

Half Inverse Problem for the Impulsive Diffusion Operator with Discontinuous Coefficient

open access: yes, 2016
The half inverse problem is to construct coefficients of the operator in a whole interval by using one spectrum and potential known in a semi interval. In this paper, by using the Hocstadt-Lieberman and Yang-Zettl's methods we show that if p(x) and q(x ...
