Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

The paradox of Discourse Markers: Evidence from production under cognitive load.
On the basis of my (mainly) functionally oriented corpus-based work on Discourse Markers (both onomasiological and semasiological) (see e.g. Bolly et al., 2017; Crible & Degand, 2019, in press; Degand, Cornillie & Pietrandrea, 2013; Degand & Fagard, 2011;

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Why are there so many labels for discourse markers?
There are many different labels used to refer to what in linguistics is probably most frequently termed ‘discourse markers’ (Schiffrin 1987, Fraser 1990, Stenström 1994, Swan 1995, Aijmer 1996, Biber et al. 1999).

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Discourse Markers on Inclover Magazine [PDF]
Discourse markers are connecting words and phrases that link sentences and paragraphs together, it can make the text is cohesion, as the result there are no jumps or breaks between ideas.Cohesion itself, one of the requirements besides unity and ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

TERMINOLOGICAL TURMOIL IN THEORETICAL IDENTIFICATION OF DISCOURSE MARKERS
Although discourse markers study has become a focus of intensive linguistic research within past three decades, there is still no unified empirically grounded theory on these language units.
