Basics of Qualitative Theory of Linear Fractional Difference Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Tato doktorská práce se zabývá zlomkovým kalkulem na diskrétních množinách, přesněji v rámci takzvaného (q,h)-kalkulu a jeho speciálního případu h-kalkulu.

Discrete-Time Fractional Variational Problems

open access: yes, 2010
We introduce a discrete-time fractional calculus of variations on the time scale $h\mathbb{Z}$, $h > 0$. First and second order necessary optimality conditions are established.

Variational methods for fractional $q$-Sturm--Liouville Problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we formulate a regular $q$-fractional Sturm--Liouville problem (qFSLP) which includes the left-sided Riemann--Liouville and the right-sided Caputo $q$-fractional derivatives of the same order $\alpha$, $\alpha\in (0,1)$.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Microglial dynamics and ferroptosis induction in human iPSC‐derived neuron–astrocyte–microglia tri‐cultures

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A tri‐culture of iPSC‐derived neurons, astrocytes, and microglia treated with ferroptosis inducers as an Induced ferroptosis model was characterized by scRNA‐seq, cell survival, and cytokine release assays. This analysis revealed diverse microglial transcriptomic changes, indicating that the system captures key aspects of the complex cellular ...

Analysis of Discrete Fractional Operators and Discrete Fractional Rheological Models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This thesis is comprised of two main parts: Monotonicity results on discrete fractional operators and discrete fractional rheological constitutive equations.

Parameter estimation based on discrete observations of fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process of the second kind [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Fractional Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process of the second kind $(\text{fOU}_{2})$ is solution of the Langevin equation $\mathrm{d}X_t = -\theta X_t\,\mathrm{d}t+\mathrm{d}Y_t^{(1)}, \ \theta >0$ with Gaussian driving noise $ Y_t^{(1)} := \int^t_0 e^{-s ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Some fundamental properties on the sampling free nabla Laplace transform

open access: yes, 2020
Discrete fractional order systems have attracted more and more attention in recent years. Nabla Laplace transform is an important tool to deal with the problem of nabla discrete fractional order systems, but there is still much room for its development ...

Exponential functions of discrete fractional calculus

open access: yesApplicable Analysis and Discrete Mathematics, 2013
In this paper, exponential functions of discrete fractional calculus with the nabla operator are studied. We begin with proving some properties of exponential functions along with some relations to the discrete Mittag-Leffler functions. We then study sequential linear difference equations of fractional order with constant coefficients.
