Nanoparticle‐Mediated Immunometabolic‐Epigenetic Remodeling Enhances Schwann Cell‐Macrophage Interaction for Sciatic Nerve Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A biomimetic Prussian White nanoparticle (PW) is engineered to achieve long‐term local retention and orchestrate immunometabolic‐epigenetic remodeling for sciatic nerve regeneration. PW directly targets hexokinase 2 to suppress glycolysis, thereby elevating α‐ketoglutarate and driving Kdm4a/b‐mediated demethylation of H3K9me3.

METHODS FOR TESTING DISCRIMINANT VALIDITY [PDF]

open access: yesManagement & Marketing, 2011
The study presents three methods which can be used to assess discriminant validity for multi-item scales. Q-sorting is presented as a method that can be used in early stages of research, being more exploratory, while the chi-square difference test and ...

Localized Linear Discriminant Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Despite its age, the Linear Discriminant Analysis performs well even in situations where the underlying premises like normally distributed data with constant covariance matrices over all classes are not met.

A Chirality‐Converted Bacteriolytic Dodecapeptide Regulates Vibrio‐Induced Polymicrobial Infection and Ameliorates Invasion‐Associated Gut Microbiota Disequilibrium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multidrug‐resistant Vibrio infections are rising rapidly and threaten coastal populations worldwide. This study introduces D‐zp37, a chirality‐engineered antimicrobial peptide with exceptional potency against resistant Vibrio species. D‐zp37 kills planktonic cells, blocks mixed‐species biofilms, disrupts essential bacterial stress responses, and shows ...

Fuzzy Discriminant Analysis with Application

open access: yesالمجلة العراقية للعلوم الاحصائية
In the current research, two methods of data classification were used, namely; the Linear Discriminant analysis (LDA) and the Fuzzy Discriminant Analysis (FDA).

Statistical classification techniques for engineering and climatic data samples [PDF]

open access: yes
Fisher's sample linear discriminant function is modified through an appropriate alteration of the common sample variance-covariance matrix. The alteration consists of adding nonnegative values to the eigenvalues of the sample variance covariance matrix ...

Mixed discriminants

open access: yesMathematische Zeitschrift, 2012
The mixed discriminant of n Laurent polynomials in n variables is the irreducible polynomial in the coefficients which vanishes whenever two of the roots coincide. The Cayley trick expresses the mixed discriminant as an A-discriminant. We show that the degree of the mixed discriminant is a piecewise linear function in the Plucker coordinates of a mixed

Polydopamine‐Encapsulated Probiotics Restore Gut Homeostasis and Reinstate Macrophage Efferocytosis in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Polydopamine‐encapsulated probiotics restore gut homeostasis and reinstate macrophage efferocytosis, thereby reestablishing immune tolerance and mitigating systemic autoimmunity, highlighting a bioengineered microbiota‐based therapeutic strategy for SLE.

Glucuronolactone Promotes Mucin Sulfation to Alleviate Deoxynivalenol‐Induced Intestinal Injury via Microbiota‐Dependent and ‐Independent AHR Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucuronolactone (GLU) as a natural metabolite of glucose, increases Lactobacillus amylovorus abundance and luminal IAA level to activate AHR signaling. In addition, GLU itself can directly elevate AHR signaling activity independently of microbiota and IAA.

FomA‐Containing Outer Membrane Vesicles of Fusobacterium Nucleatum Facilitate Bladder Cancer Lymphatic Metastasis via IL‐6‐Dependent M2b Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Urinary Fusobacterium nucleatum–derived outer membrane vesicles are shown to promote bladder cancer lymphatic metastasis. The vesicle protein FomA activates TLR2/NF‐κB signaling in tumor cells, induces IL‐6 secretion, and drives M2b macrophage polarization and VEGF‐C–dependent lymphangiogenesis, revealing a microbiota‐driven mechanism linking tumor ...
