LINC00309 is associated with short disease-free survival in breast cancer [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Cell International, 2019
Long non-coding RNAs play an important role in breast cancer. Even with adjuvant hormone therapy, patients with estrogen receptor positive breast cancer can present with recurrences and distant metastases. We investigated whether the expression of a novel long non-coding RNA LINC00309 can predict the outcome of breast cancer, especially for hormone ...

Cyclin D3 predicts disease-free survival in breast cancer [PDF]

open access: yesCancer Cell International, 2015
Cyclin D3, which induces progression through the G1 phase of the cell cycle, is a regulator of Cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6. Previous studies revealed that abnormal expression of Cyclin D3 was found in many different cancers. However, the role of Cyclin D3 in breast cancer (BC) remains unknown.

Disease-free survival as a surrogate endpoint for overall survival in adjuvant trials of pancreatic cancer: a meta-analysis of 20 randomized controlled trials

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2020
Background We aimed to assess whether disease-free survival (DFS) could serve as a reliable surrogate endpoint for overall survival (OS) in adjuvant trials of pancreatic cancer.

Improved graft-versus-host disease-free, relapse-free survival associated with bone marrow as the stem cell source in adults

open access: yesHaematologica, 2016
We previously reported that bone marrow grafts from matched sibling donors resulted in best graft-versus-host disease-free, relapse-free survival at 1-year post allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation.

Long-term disease-free survival in acute nonlymphocytic leukemia [PDF]

open access: yesBlood, 1981
Abstract Twenty-six of 45 adults (58%) with acute nonlymphocytic leukemia who were treated with intensive induction chemotherapy over 5 yr ago entered complete remission. All patients entering remission were placed on weekly maintenance chemotherapy consisting of cytosine arabinoside and 6-thioguanine.

Tumor budding as a predictor of disease-free survival in patients with cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesPathology and Oncology Research, 2023
Background: Tumor budding is considered a prognostic factor in several solid cancer types. However, we lack comprehensive information on the importance of tumor budding in cholangiocarcinoma. Therefore, we aimed to assess the prognostic value of tumor budding in intrahepatic and extrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas and to evaluate its correlations with ...

Clinical and Biological Features of Response in Resistant Neuroblastoma to 131I‐Metaiodobenzylguanidine Radiotherapy in the Anti‐GD2 Immunotherapy Era

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background 131I‐metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I‐MIBG) radiotherapy is a key treatment for relapsed and refractory (R/R) neuroblastoma (NB). Patients with R/R disease treated in the modern era are increasingly exposed to anti‐GD2 immunotherapy, which exerts selective pressure and may modify both tumor cell state and microenvironment.

Emapalumab for Immune Effector Cell‐Associated Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis‐Like Syndrome Following CD19‐Directed CAR‐T in Two Patients With B‐ALL: Clinical and Biomarker Correlates

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Immune effector cell‐associated hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis‐like syndrome (IEC‐HS) is a life‐threatening hyperinflammatory toxicity distinct from cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurotoxicity following chimeric antigen receptor T‐cell (CAR‐T) therapy. In a single‐institution retrospective cohort of pediatric and young adult patients
