Discovery of H2 Receptor Antagonists as Colistin Enhancers by Targeting Acid Stress Response
This study identifies YqgB as a key target for restoring colistin susceptibility in mcr‐positive pathogens under acidic conditions by remodeling phospholipid composition and reducing LPS modification. Deep learning‐based screening reveals H2 receptor antagonists as novel colistin adjuvants. Further investigations indicate that ranitidine and famotidine

MALARIA IN THE AMERICAS: A RETROSPECTIVE ANALYSIS OF CHILDHOOD EXPOSURE [PDF]
This study considers the malaria-eradication campaigns in the United States (circa 1920), and in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico (circa 1955) in order to measure how much childhood exposure to malaria depresses labor productivity. The campaigns began because

TRMT6‐mediated m1A modification in CDK9 mRNA enhances its mRNA stability and translation efficiency, thereby increasing the protein levels of CDK9. Upregulated CDK9 promotes the progression of HCC by elevating the levels of oncogenic factors including p‐STAT3, MCL1, and BCL‐2. On the other hand, CDK9 phosphorylates TARDBP at Ser254 to activate HBV core

This study introduces Cadict, an EGFR‐targeted nanodrug that co‐delivers cuproptosis and disulfidptosis inducers to overcome immune resistance. Cadict synergistically enhances tumor cytotoxicity and sensitizes cancers to ICIs by upregulating PD‐L1 via an Eif5b‐dependent translation mechanism, fostering a potent antitumor immune response and ...

GPCRs in CAR‐T Cell Immunotherapy: Expanding the Target Landscape and Enhancing Therapeutic Efficacy
Chimeric antigen receptor T cell therapy faces dual challenges of target scarcity and an immunosuppressive microenvironment in solid tumors. This review highlights how G protein‐coupled receptors can serve as both novel targets to expand the therapeutic scope and functional modules to enhance CAR‐T cell efficacy.

ABSTRACT Gut microbiota dysbiosis promotes colorectal cancer (CRC) tumorigenesis. A global fecal metagenomic analysis identified Gemella morbillorum as a key contributor to the CRC‐associated microbiota. Fluorescence in situ hybridization revealed that Gemella morbillorum is enriched in CRC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues.

Pellagra: A Non-Eradicated Old Disease
We report a case of a 50-year old homeless male who presented with pellagra and pellagrous encephalopathy. The characteristic - if not pathognomonic - skin lesions of pellagra support its diagnosis on solely clinical grounds. Clinicians should keep a high index of suspicion, in certain patient groups, in order to early diagnose and cure this ...
