Coverage Path Planning for Spraying Drones [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The pandemic by COVID-19 is causing a devastating effect on the health of global population. There are several efforts to prevent the spread of the virus. Among those efforts, cleaning and disinfecting public areas have become important tasks. In order to contribute in this direction, this paper proposes a coverage path planning algorithm for a ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells‐Derived Extracellular Vesicles Mimetics as Osteoinductive Mediators for Bone Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.

Improved method of using paraformaldehyde as a disinfectant [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
Paraformaldehyde decreases required enclosed compartment disinfectant time and temperature by vaporizing powdered material from water slurry. Fire and explosion hazard at lower temperature is reduced. Total mixture evaporation occurs at plate temperature

The role of vehicle movement in swine disease dissemination: novel method accounting for pathogen stability and vehicle cleaning effectiveness uncertainties [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
The transmission dynamics of infectious diseases in animal production are driven by several propagation routes. Contaminated vehicles traveling between farms have been associated with indirect disease transmission. In this study, we used transportation vehicle data to analyze the magnitude of farm visits by different vehicles and to propose a ...

Manganese oxide-functionalized graphene sponge electrodes for electrochemical chlorine-free disinfection of tap water [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Engineering Journal, 2023, 472,145082
Low-cost reduced graphene oxide sponges functionalized with manganese oxide were used as electrodes for the disinfection of Escherichia coli in water. Manganese oxide was doped with amino groups MnxOyNH2 to strengthen the bond with the graphene coating and improve the electrochemical stability of the sponge.
