Microstructures Evolution in Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu Alloy
In this study, Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy was refill friction spot welded, and the precipitates, dislocation, recovery, and recrystallization characteristics were focused. In the stir zone (SZ), continues dynamic recrystallization occurs under the intense plastic

Dislocation constriction and cross-slip in Al and Ag: an ab initio study
A novel model based on the Peierls framework of dislocations is developed. The new theory can deal with a dislocation spreading at more than one slip planes.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

TMC4 localizes to multiple taste cell types in the mouse taste papillae
Transmembrane channel‐like 4 (TMC4), a voltage‐dependent chloride channel, plays a critical role in amiloride‐insensitive salty taste transduction. TMC4 is broadly expressed in all mature taste cell types, suggesting a possible involvement of multiple cell types in this pathway.

Homogenisation of a Row of Dislocation Dipoles from Discrete Dislocation Dynamics
Conventional discrete-to-continuum approaches have seen their limitation in describing the collective behaviour of the multi-polar configurations of dislocations, which are widely observed in crystalline materials. The reason is that dislocation dipoles,

We found that during chemotherapy‐induced alopecia (CIA), Sonic hedgehog (Shh) expression significantly decreased in hair follicle Shh+ cells, whereas the Janus‐activated kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (JAK/STAT1) signaling pathway was markedly activated.

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

An Unusual Case of Volar Dislocation of Thumb Metacarpophalangeal Joint
Thumb metacarpophalangeal joint dislocation is an uncommon injury. Most of the dislocations are dorsal, and volar dislocation is rare. Only a total of 18 cases of volar dislocation of thumb metacarpophalangeal joint are published in English and other ...

Bilateral Asymmetrical Fracture Dislocation of Shoulder with Rare Combination of Injuries after Epileptic Seizure: A Case Report [PDF]
The incidence of bilateral gleno-humeral joint dislocation is rare, is almost always posterior and is usually caused by sports injuries, epileptic seizures, electrical shock, or electroconvulsive therapy.
