(Uploaded by Plazi for the Bat Literature Project) Interactionsbetweena largecommunityof vertebrate frugivore-granivores(including7 species of largecanopy birds, 19 speciesof rodents,7 speciesof ruminants, and 6 species of monkeys), and 122 fruit species they consume, were studied for a year in a tropicalrainforestin Gabon.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Finite element analysis of photonic crystal fibers [PDF]
A finite-element-based vectorial optical mode solver, furnished with Bayliss-Gunzburger-Turkel-like transparent boundary conditions, is used to rigorously analyze photonic crystal fibers (PCFs).

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Dimensional effects in photoelectron spectra of Ag deposits on GaAs(110) surfaces
It is shown that the peak structure observed in angle-resolved photoelectron spectra of metallic deposits can only be unambiguously associated to single electronic states if the deposit has a two dimensional character (finite along one spatial direction).

A Study of Downwash Effects on Flow and Dispersion Processes around Buildings in Tandem Arrangement
Air pollution is one of the world's most important problems. Our paper presents and discusses the relationship between a structure of a flow field among neighboring buildings immersed in a boundary layer, and characteristics of pollutant dispersion in ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

ABSOLUTE INSTABILITY OF COMPRESSIBLE THREE-DIMENSIONAL FLOW
In the present paper the instability character (absolute/convective) of compressible viscous flow around geometries rotating in uniform flow is analysed. The linear local stability theory is used to investigate the boundary layer stability.
