Transmission characters numerical simulation of soliton based on dispersion-managed
SPIE Proceedings, 2010Exact soliton solution of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation is achieved in the Dispersion-managed soliton system based on a numerical averaging scheme, so the simulation results show that it can traverse great long distances stably. By the Split-step Fourier Method, we simulate soliton evolution in the Dispersion-managed soliton system.

Dispersive character of optical phonons in GaAlAs alloys from Raman scattering in superlattices

Influence of disperse phase concentration on character of Brownian motion of particles
Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1990Abstract Brownian motion in concentrated suspensions of solid spherical particles was modeled by a computer experiment. The mean collision number and the self-diffusion coefficient of particles were obtained. The collision number per time unit was calculated to be immeasurable because of the fractal character of the Brownian trajectories.

Evolution of fruit characters and dispersal modes in the tropical family Rubiaceae
Biological Journal of the Linnean Society, 1992We investigated the evolution of fruit characters, animals versus abiotic dispersal modes, life forms and geographical distribution, in the large, mostly tropical, family Rubiaceae. As a basis for our analysis we used a phylogenetic tree derived from chloroplast DNA variation.

The orbital characters and k dispersions of bands in iron-pnictide NaFeAs
Journal of Physics and Chemistry of Solids, 2011Abstract The electronic structure and orbital characters of iron-pnictide NaFeAs have been studied by polarization dependent angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. Some of the bands are mixed with the orbitals of opposite symmetries, which could be interpreted by the hybridization among the bands.

Influence of the acid–basic character of oxide surfaces in dispersants effectiveness
Ceramics International, 2004Abstract Physical–chemical surface character has been described as a determinant factor in adsorbing polyelectrolytes onto oxide surfaces. Since basically composed by hydroxyl groups, the acidity or basicity induced by the bulk lattice in such groups seems to be of great relevance in the adsorption process.

The temporal disperse character in the nonlinear propagation of high power microwave
2004 Asia-Pacific Radio Science Conference, 2004. Proceedings., 2005The paper presents a multilayer model of the plasma produced by high power microwaves (HPM) propagating in the atmosphere when air breakdown happens, and analyses the temporally disperse characteristic in the nonlinear propagation of HPM in the plasma.

The Tensor Character of the Dispersion Coefficient in Anisotropic Porous Media
1972Publisher Summary This chapter presents the reestablishment of the dispersion tensor for the anisotropic medium starting from the basic scattering mechanism. Since the mechanism, proved realistic enough for the isotropic case, it is considered to be acceptable for the anisotropic case as well.

Maternal influences on progeny characters affect phenotypic correlations between characters expressed in maternal and progeny generations and consequently influence evolutionary responses to selection. Net selection on maternally influenced characters depends on selection both on the progeny character and on the maternal characters that influence it. I
