Hyperosmotic stress‐induced redistribution of pre‐mRNA cleavage factor I subunits is associated with shifts in alternative polyadenylation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Hyperosmotic stress triggers the relocation of the CFIm complex from the nucleus to the cytoplasm. This shift creates a nuclear ‘stoichiometric bottleneck’, limiting CFIm availability for mRNA processing. Consequently, specific mRNAs like NUDT21 and DICER1 undergo targeted 3′UTR shortening, demonstrating how spatial protein dynamics drive rapid ...

Fast and broadband fibre dispersion measurement with dense wavelength sampling

open access: yes, 2013
We report on a method to obtain accurate dispersion measurements from low-coherence interferograms. This novel phase extraction method enables high accuracy, broadband measurements and very dense (20points/nm over 500nm) datasets for both ...

Evaluating the involvement of autolysosomes in the nuclear translocation of fluorescent proteins

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Endogenously expressed fluorescent proteins can be degraded by autophagy and transported to cell nuclei via the nuclear pore complex. But in some cell lines, for example, HeLa cells which are positive for immunoreactivity of a receptor ligand, such as UCN I, in cell nuclei, fusion of autolysosome with the nuclear envelope is involved in the nuclear ...

Doppler and Non-Doppler Shifts in Dispersion Relations for Rossby Waves and Galilean Invariance

open access: yesRussian Journal of Earth Sciences
The purpose of this work is to draw the reader's attention to a paradoxical fact – the existence of two different dispersion relations for linear Rossby waves: with Doppler and nonDoppler shifts.

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Justification for the Choice of the Sea Surface Mathematical Model in Solving the Problem of Radar for Environment Monitoring

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений России: Радиоэлектроника, 2016
Accuracy assessment of sea surface mathematical modeling are discussed. The linear model with Pierson-Moskowitz and Elfouhaily spectrum as well as nonlinear CWM model, which provides computational process stability and low computational complexity, are ...

Design and Analysis of Photonic Crystal Fiber with Large Negative Dispersion and Small Dispersion Slope

open access: yes, 2012
Conventional optical fibers can only guide light in a high refractive index core by total internal reflection. By using total internal reflections, it is not possible to guide light in an air core.

Shelf-slope exchanges and particle dispersion in Blanes submarine canyon (NW Mediterranean Sea): A numerical study

open access: yes, 2015
A climatological simulation performed with a fine-resolution (?1.2 km) 3D circulation model nested in one-way to a coarse-resolution (?4 km) 3D regional model is used to examine the cross-shelf break water exchange in the Blanes submarine canyon (?41°00?–

Prognostic Impact of European LeukemiaNet Genetic Risk Stratification System in Adult Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of ELN2017 in predicting survival outcomes and to assess the impact of clinical and molecular factors such as age, FLT3 and NPM1 mutations, and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT).

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.
